Middlebury Monterey Language Academy was founded on a simple belief: the most effective learning happens in private, not in a crowd. Every student who walks through our door on Maple Street receives individualized attention and a plan built around their specific needs.
Our instructors bring real-world experience to every lesson — whether that means preparing you for a career in a new language, helping you pass your driving test, or simply building the confidence to communicate in everyday situations.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all curricula. Every program is shaped by your goals, your schedule, and the way you learn best.
I needed to learn Spanish quickly for a new job. The private lessons were exactly what I needed — focused, practical, and paced to my schedule. Within months I was holding real conversations.
As a new driver in the US, I was nervous about the road test. The instructors at Middlebury Monterey were patient and thorough. I passed on my first try and feel confident driving every day now.
The flexibility of scheduling was a game-changer for me. I could book evening lessons around my work schedule, and my instructor adapted every session to what I was struggling with that week.
